Here are 7 Reasons People Fail

As any successful person will honestly admit, failure happens, and we’ve all had our fair share of it. But from each failure, we learn two equally valuable lessons. One, that there was at least one reason we failed; and two, that we can rebound from that failure.
So, why do we fail? And how do we fix it?
According to Shiv Khera, author of You Can Win, failures most often occur for one of seven reasons.
And Harvey Mackay, best-selling author and business speaker, says each one can teach us something valuable, can show us how to avoid falling back into the same hole.

Here are the most common failure-causing

7 QUOTE TO WINING

Every time you win, it diminishes the fear a little bit. You never really cancel the fear of losing; you keep challenging it.
ARTHUR ASHE, attributed, 1000 Pocket Positives

You can't win every week.
CARYL CHURCHILL, Far Away

Those enjoying winning streaks thus win twofold. They win not only the game but also the right to greater self-determination. They become masters of their own fate. That feeling of efficacy, of being in charge of circumstances, is the essence of confidence. Winning once or twice is encouraging, but winning continuously is empowering.
ROSABETH MOSS KANTER, Confidence

Who overcomes By force, hath overcome but half his foe.
JOHN MILTON, Paradise Lost

Whoever said "It's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game" is full of it! Winning makes all the difference in the world. Winning is fun. Losing is not. Losing
 sucks.
PETE ROSE, My Prison Without Bars

Perpetuating success or sliding into decline is the result of many intersecting forces that reinforce one another directly and indirectly. They are both cause and effect of winning or losing. Winning generates positive forces, losing generates negative forces.
ROSABETH MOSS KANTER, Confidence

A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

Dangers of Self-Medication for Pain

Many people will use analgesics (painkillers) in order to self-medicate for pain and this is considered normal. If you can use a paracetamol in order to help yourself cope with a headache or back ache then this is a good idea and will have relatively few consequences if any.

I FELL AGAIN AT HER 2ND VISIT. HOW CAN I CONTROL MYSELF?

Question:
fgn
I am a Christian in my early twenties. I committed fornication when I was trying to help a lady. She wanted a place to sleep for the night before continuing her journey the next day. That was over a month ago. Last week she visited me. I couldn't stop myself. Again I had sex with her. I confessed my sins and promise never to do that after the first time, but when she came the second time I failed my promise. Please help me. As a Christian what should I do, so that I can control myself with this type of sin?

Answer:
Like many young men, you don't really consider the power sex has over the body. "For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death, her steps lay hold of hell. Lest you ponder her path of life -- her ways are unstable; you do not know them" (Proverbs 5:3-6).

You are a man and you have no business having a female in your home. The situation is too private and it is too easy to yield to temptation, as you have learned. If a female needs a place to spend the night, then you find a female friend she can stay with. You need to not only protect guests from external harm, but also protect them from yourself (as well as protecting you and your reputation).

I disagree that you couldn't stop yourself from having sex with this woman. Rather, you had no desire to stop at the time because you were too inflamed with passion. "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (I Corinthians 10:13). There were several ways out, but you didn't take any of them.

COMMON MISTAKES YOUNG PEOPLE MAKE WITH MONEY

Here is my lecture note on our just concluded monthly singles and youth fellowship at Hilltop Believers Assembly, Ughelli. Read and be blessed
Money is one of the vital pillars that sustain a relationship. In my opinion, the lack of money has destroyed more families and relationship than any other thing you can think of.
Whenever we try to talk about money as important, we get various reactions most especially from Christians.
Money is not everything!  Money can buy bed not sleep!   Money can buy food not appetite!  House not a home.
My take: would you rather sleep without a bed, have appetite without food, a home without a house. You need to wake up.
We live in a world where you can’t do without money.
Some say, money is worldly and it leads one to hell. Not true.
Money is worldly because it is meant to be spent on this earth. Money does not lead one to hell.

DOES GOD WANT YOU RICH? : 2 Corin 8:9, 3 John 1:2
3 IMPORTANT THINGS MONEY WILL DO FOR YOU
1.     Defense. Eccl 7:12,
2.     Answer Questions. Eccl 10:19
3.     Bring people around you. Prov 19:4
WHAT IS WRONG WITH MONEY?
The love of money. 1 Tim 6:10. When money takes your attention from God. Ps 14:1, only a fool says there is no God. Money is not for foolish people.
Money is a spirit looking for a business mind to work with
Definition: Money is anything approved by the government for the payment of goods and services. What makes an object money is the authority placed on it.
Money is a form of power but what is more powerful is financial education.
In school, we are taught theories and most of these theories are obsolete.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCHOOL AND LIFE
In school you are taught a lesson and there after given a test.
In life you are given a test that teaches you a lesson.
MISTAKES
1.     Making expenditure more than income
2.     Lying to yourself:  this is common to the poor and middle class people. They try to be who they are not. If your salary is 10,000, you can’t rub shoulder with someone earning 40,000. Most Poor people wants to dress to impress the rich and the sad thing is “the rich are not even noticing them”. If you earn 10,000 and you take a girl to wakiz and spend 6,000, you are killing yourself. What you can’t afford, you can’t afford
3.     Pleasing others at your own detriment. Tell them the truth that you can’t afford it now but one day you will. If you can’t afford wakiz, go to mama ejiro’s canteen. You spend your transport fees to please a sister is foolishness. Let people know the truth about you. The fact that everyone is using a Blackberry or Android phone is not enough reason for you to use it. First ask yourself, can I afford it, if yes, how do I maintain it?
4.     Buying on credit awaiting your salary
5.     Borrowing to prove a point
6.     Buying branded goods and materials (Brazilian hair)
7.     Turning down free offer
8.     Paying too much on smart phone data
Every money in your hand is an asset

Single at home, married on campus

Dear friends,
I found this article interesting and educative from The Nation News Paper. please note, it is the exact write up of the Author Imoleayo oyedeji. Read and feel free to live your comment.

After being admitted into a government-owned university in the Southwest, Mary Akande (not her real name) whose parents are based in Lagos could not secure an accommodation in the competitive school Hall of Residence.

As a fresher, she did not know how to secure a room off-campus. Stranded, Mary approached her colleagues to squat with them in the school hostel pending when she would get accommodation. She was allowed, but after six weeks, she was caught by porters and expelled from the premises with a stern warning never to be seen around the hostel.
Forlorn and hopeless, she packed her belongings and left the campus. On her way to town, Mary met a 300-Level student, who had helped her during the registration. She explained her predicament and sought his help to get accommodation in town.
But, before then, she agreed to stay with the guy who stays in a single-room apartment. Mary was there for the rest of the session. Upon resuming after a long session holiday, Mary’s friends waited endlessly for her to resume but she could not. She was four-month pregnant and her acquaintance was responsible. Unable to face the stigmatisation, she dropped out of school.

The narrative above is a trend in many higher institutions across the nation. Male and female students live under one roof as couples – albeit without the consent of their parents. When it is not affecting their academic performances, unlucky couples drop out of school because of their inability to combine their ‘married’ life with academic activities.
CAMPUSLIFE gathered that students, who indulge in the act deliberately, choose off-campus halls where they get total freedom to invite the opposite sex to stay with them, a practice that most institutions’ authorities frown at in school hostels.

In some cases, female students, who live in off-campus hostels, invite their male friends from other campuses to spend weekends with them. During the visit, they will go everywhere as a ‘married couple’ and even prepare “delicious soup” to make the stay memorable.
In the process, many of the girls indulging in the act get pregnant but because their partners are not ready to marry them off, they mutually agree to abort the foetus. Before finishing their programmes, many girls may abort six to seven pregnancies, which may damage their fallopian tube and render some of them barren. But for guys, life goes on.
Despite the harsh lessons, the practice is still a common occurrence among students. Who should be blamed for it?
Franklin Ajakaiye, a Law student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), said ladies should be blamed because they were always the initiator of the practice, citing personal experience.
An investigation by CAMPUSLIFE showed that most students who engage in the act mainly do so to familiarise themselves with their partners before marriage.

SAY NO TO ABORTION!

If sex is introduced before relationship, you have successfully hindered the marriage possibility. let us leave to control ourselves. sex is worth waiting for. Spouse who cannot wait for sex before marriage is an adulterer/ adulteress in making. He wont wait in marriage because you cant perfect what you have not practiced.
